S.E.A Aquarium

On one of the Fridays before the school semester started, my boy and I headed to the newly opened South East Asian Aquarium at Resorts World Sentosa. I had so much fun there! Being a big fan of aquariums, we did spend a while in there taking photos and admiring the marine life :)

Shipwreck Cove

THE TUNNELLLL

Weird blue-ish lighting haha

They had this see-through platform with some nurse sharks + stingrays

Spot the 2 weird fishes in pink and yellow!

SEAHORSE :)

Spastic us :X

The touch pool! I touched the chocolate chip starfish hehe

The entire fish tank was filled with these little buggers haha. SHO KEWT

HUNGREH BOYYY

Both of us literally camped at every exhibit, waiting for the crowd to clear. haha. Somehow, for some weird reason, the crowd comes and goes in waves. So, we had those brief periods of just the two of us. YAY. It was a friday afternoon after NYE, and it wasn't so crowded cos the majority of the school kids were back at school ^^

Fishes swimming in schools, and in a circular motion. I don't want to be a fish... mundane life.

I ATE THIS CRAB'S LEG BEFORE HEHE

NAUTILUS! If I remember correctly, it resembles the Pokemon called Omanyte. haha. Correct me if i'm wrong!

BOUNCY JELLIES

This is actually an upside-down jellyfish

SEA NETTLE! SO PRETTY!

Don't they look as if they are flying?

Manta Ray

Those windows you see behind are the hotel rooms i believe

Happy Tummy!

Scary moray eels

HAMMERHEAD! Couldn't get a close up. I think the hammerheads' territories were nearer to the surface

At the souvenir shop area

Met Jet for dinner after that at vivo. Had Carl's Junior hehe

Superman

All in all, I had fun! Paid 20 bucks for student admission and it was pretty worth it. Can totally not do anything but relax in the aquarium. The large panel area at seating areas on the floor too! Though I have seen aquariums with more variety and larger creatures, I believe in years to come, more marine life will be added in to liven up the place. Will be looking forward to that!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It's 2013 baby! haha

Brand new year. Brand new semester.
2012 has been really good! I got my well-deserved 8 months holiday, experienced working life, started school and made some awesome friends, and everyone stayed healthy. & the world didn't end LOL. Blessed. :)

Had a NYE steamboat with the usual gang at this huge bungalow. One of the biggest houses I've been in! Had fun that night!

I have no idea which is considered the living room... the darkened area at the back or this area at the foreground!
The door to the karaoke room in the mid of the picture.
2 more huge-ass floors upstairs haha

The Karaoke room where we spent most of the night in haha

A pretty fun drinking game that Jet introduced!

Can't post the rest of the photos because of the SENSITIVE info HEHEH.

Individual Chocolate Lava Cake

For the NYE steamboat party, I brought along some chocolate lava cake and I took the recipe from http://allrecipes.com/recipe/chef-johns-chocolate-lava-cake/. I doubled the portions and reduced the cooking time as I wanted the super liquid-y centre haha.
I was hesitant in making this for my friends at first though... I know many people cannot take the richness of the lava cake and might not like this cake. But, oh well, to each his own ;)
In the end, all 12 were gone so I guess it was fine haha.

Used baking chocolate in CHIPS form so I didn't have to break the whole piece up! Lazy me!

Could have filled more in each cup, but had to ration! Too many people, too little ingredients! haha

Didn't bother using ramekins because I was giving them away during the steamboat and wanted stuff to be disposable

HAHA couldn't even scrape out a proper cake because I was lazy to grease the tins, and it was so MOLTEN ^^
